This Lancaster, a Squadron Centurion completed 114 operational sorties and was

damaged beyond repair in a crash landing on October 16 1945. Struck off charge
th
on October 19 1945 this Lancaster was sent to 43 Maintenance Group for storage,
classified E2 (airframe is a write off and only suitable for scrap) then disposed of and
sent to the breakers yard.
