This Lancaster is RA 594 V – Victor, a ʿBʾ flight Lancaster, delivered new to the
squadron in March 1945 completing just 12 war operations before being transferred
to 170 Squadron at RAF Hemswell in August 1945. The Lancaster was subsequently
transferred again in December 1945 to 50 Squadron at RAF Sturgate. V-Victor was
th
struck of charge and sent to the breakers yard on April 14 1946.The crew
completed 6 operations in her.
