John Dennison Musgrove was born in Sydney in March 1924 and enlisted in the R.A.A.F on 2
January 1943. He trained under the Empire Air Training Scheme, completing a course with No. 8
Royal Canadian Air Force Gunners and Bomb Aimers School at R.C.A.F Station Lethbridge,
Alberta, Canada.

John then served with 576 Squadron as an air bombardier. Commissioned as a Pilot Officer on

20 May 1945, eventually reaching the rank of Flying Officer before returning to Australia. John

was discharged from the R.A.A.F on the 23 November 1945.
