The Pollard Crew operations

First operation by the crews Pilot was to the German synthetic oil plant at

Leuna - Merseburg on the 6 /7 December 1944. This was known as a
th
‘Second Dickey’ operation as Flying Officer Pollard was Second Pilot to the crew of
Flying Officer K.A. Moore in ‘A’ flight Lancaster NG119 D-Dog. This allowed Flying
Officer Pollard to experience first-hand what awaited the crew on their
first operation together.
