                                Operation Post Mortem   Lancaster RA563 Q-Queen2

        This operation by squadrons of No.1 Group entailed formations of Lancasters flying over the North
          sea at predetermined heights, with allied scientists observing the bomber stream using captured
         German radar equipment. This research complimented the allied radar research and improved on
          the knowlage of these radar systems, the research expanding over time to the radar systems of
                                                    the present day.
