was to Fontaine-Le-Pin, France, In support of the British armies operations in
Normandy. The Lancaster that day was piloted by Flying Officer J.J. Mulrooney. The
parachute tally on the aircrafts nose indicates a Gardening operation (dropping of
airborne sea mines into German shipping lanes).
