This Lancaster, one of Bomber Commands Centurions eventually completing 114
operations was one of 4 centurions that the Squadron had on charge in the last 18
months of the war. It’s previous Pilot, Flight Lieutenant Harold Leyton-Brown DFC

completed his 36 operation on the 15 March 1945. Donald flew as second Pilot
with Harold at the start of his tour of operations.
