John with another airman in one of Brighton’s hotels which were requisitioned for use by the
Australian (RAAF) No.11 Personnel and Disposal Reception Centre. This all-Australian unit
located in Brighton was charged with the administration and processing of all Australian aircrew
selected for training and military service in the UK.
