‘A’ Flight line looking east towards the Technical Site, now a dense wooded area,
and below a picture of the same scene taken in 1945. To the right of the present day
picture is located the premises of the specialist ammunition manufacturer Primtake.
Note the dome shaped object directly under the water tower and below the
Lancasters starboard outer Merlin. This it is the location of the Battle headquarters
Bunker.
