On September 13 1945 576 Squadron was disbanded, the airfield closed to
operational flying and put into a care and maintenance state.

The reviewing officer at the parade is No.1 Groups Air Officer Commanding,
Air Vice Marshall Robert Stewart Blucke CB CBE DSO AFC*.

Terence (The tall Officer) is seen to the left edge of this group of Officers.

576 Squadron was the first No.1 Group squadron to be disbanded.
