Lancaster ED448 EA-R - Robert.
This Lancaster was a Mark III built by A.V.Roe at Chadderton, Manchester in December 1942.
The airframe was damaged in February and again in June 1943. Finally crashing on
th
16 September 1943 and categorised as a 'write off' and taken off Squadron charge.
The crew are seen here beside Lancaster R - Robert, ʻBʼ Flight at RAF Fiskerton in 1943,
with the crew of Flight Lieutenant Victor Arnold. (Crew identities not known in this photograph).
