These are the six operations undertaken by William with 12 Squadron at RAF
Wickenby. They consist of three Main Force area bombing operations on German
targets. Two French operations and a Gardening Operation. Gardening is the RAF
code word for mine laying. The mines themselves were called ʺVegetables". The
crew laid their sea mines in the Gulf of Danzig, RAF code "Privetʺ.
