One of the crew sat at the controls of ED713.The Lancaster, previously on strength
to 103 Squadron is showing the squadron call sign on its nose, N – Nan. This
Lancaster had yet to have its call sign changed over to W - William 2.The Lancaster
had at this point completed 51 operations. It displays nose art under the pilot’s
window and in Latin 'NULLI SECUNDUS' (Second to none). The crew were flying
this Lancaster when they were shot down.
