This is the post war nuclear bunker now owned by Primtake.
This bunker of semi sunken construction was built in 1960 for the Royal Observer
Corps and was No.15 Group Headquarters and also U.K.W.M.O Midlands Sector
HQ. The primary purpose was to monitor any nuclear explosions if war had broken
out. U.K.W.M.O would provide both civil and military authorities in the UK with
essential information during a nuclear attack, with the R.O.C providing primary data
on the position and magnitude of atomic weapons detonated during any such attack.
