Two pictures of the airfield taken from the main runway during 576 Squadron’s tenure. Above, the
airfield’s B1 (left) and T2 (Right) hangars. The T2 was used by the Squadron fitters for maintaining
the airframes, whilst the B1 was for the Avro fitters on secondment from RAF Braicebridge Heath
responsible for major airframe repair.

Below is an unknown 576 Squadron Lancaster in front of the B1 hangar, the B1 having a steeper
roof angle than the T2.
