9 (O) Advanced Flying Unit

No 9 (O) AFC was located at RAF Penrhos and had an associated site at RAF Llandwrog. This
training unit involved between 6 to 8 weeks intensive training in classroom and aerial exercises. It
also allowed them to acclimatise to local conditions.
