Bill and his aircrew were temporarily stationed at the 7 Group HCU Administrative Bases while
they waited for their 1 Group HCU to become available for training. The Service Record summary
below reveals that the Worsdell aircrew were mustered to the No. 1651 Heavy Conversion Unit at
RAF Woolfox Lodge, Rutland. At this HCU they were trained on Avro Lancaster aircraft, which is
the type that they were going to use when they arrived at 576 Squadron, RAF Fiskerton.
