Flights dispersals. The exact location of 576 Squadrons Lancasters per dispersal is
still being researched. What is known however is that the Avro Lancaster that Albert
flew in (PD 271 T - Tare) had its dispersal as marked on the airfield plan (centre
right). ‘B’ Flight dispersal could have been to the top right of the picture as by April
1945 576 Squadron operated three Flights consisting of, in total 30 Lancasters with
one spare and nearly all the airfield dispersals would have had Lancasters
sitting on them.
