John in his air bombardier’s position in ‘B’ Flight Avro Lancaster LM 595 V – Victor
This, a new Lancaster straight from the manufacturer Metropolitan - Vickers of
Mosley Road, Manchester and final assembly undertaken at Woodford Airfield in
Cheshire completed 12 operations in total.
The crew flew in this new Lancaster on six operations.
