Bertram Roberts, the crew’s flight engineer. When the memorial was erected in
honour of the RAF personnel who were stationed at Fiskerton, Bertram’s son, Cedric
wrote one of the poems that is now engraved on a stainless steel plate mounted on
a stone obelisk at the memorial.
