This, in the top picture shows the sad remains of the now demolished Avro B1
hangar. Here maintenance and local repairs would have been undertaken on the
Lancaster airframes by Avro staff on permanent loan from the main Avro Repair
Depot at Bracebridge Heath, near Waddington. In the bottom picture the empty base
of the B1 hangar looking east towards the oil donkeys.
