Page 7 - Present Day Airfield

This picture (above) shows the airfield operations block situated opposite the airfield entrance on
Hall Lane. What remains of this building, (the rest of the block being demolished post war) is now
a stable for horses. The picture below shows the inside of this building. The locals state that this
building is haunted and that at certain times of the year a ghostly figure of an airman in flying gear
has been seen stood at the buildings entrance.
