576 Squadron Lancaster C-Charlie photographed low flying runway 13/31. The
viewer can just see the main runway running left/right below the Lancasters
undercarriage. Behind the Lancaster is the airfield technical site with in front of the
water tower the Avro B1 hangar where Avro repair teams did local repairs to the
squadrons Lancasters. To the right is the T2 hangar used by ground crews to service
squadron Lancasters. All these structures have now been demolished.
